Taking steps to nurture your mental health can significantly enhance your overall well-being and bring more vitality. By focusing on mental well-being, you create a foundation for a healthier body.
Lets start our journey with these five steps:
· First, engage in regular physical activity to increase blood flow to the brain. Try to find what you enjoy. My absolute favorite is yoga.
· Second, prioritize quality sleep, as it plays a pivotal role in cognitive function. We will talk about sleep hygiene further.
· Third, eat a balanced diet rich in nutrients that support brain health, such as omega-3 fatty acids and antioxidants. I don't believe in weight lost. I do believe in finding the core issue and developing regular healthy habits.
· Fourth, make sure to engage in dopamine releasing activities. For some it would be goal achieving, work on exciting project or hobby, plan a change of environment.
· Moreover, make sure to stimulate your brain but remember overstimulating with constant scrolling media (especially before bedtime) and playing video games long hours may do more harm than good to your brain.
· One more thing for this post, practice mindfulness or meditation to reduce stress and promote emotional balance. If you don't know where to start, free version of InsightTimer has huge library.
